 New Business:

Cec Ray asked Joetta if she would meet with Damon Buskohl, Executive Director, of the Village at Skyline which is located at 2365 Patriot Heights about considering having our meetings there.   The club meeting time would not change and we would have access to a large meeting room at no charge and they would also provide Coffee, Water and Cookies.   The facility has adequate parking to accommodate our needs. The Village at Skyline would be willing to cater our Holiday Luncheon at the facility at a reasonable cost. Joetta indicated that the Colorado Springs Senior Center has offered to provide our present meeting facilities for $8.00 per club member on a yearly basis.

A motion to move our monthly meeting location to Village at Skyline passed. Following this a motion was made and passed to rescind the motion, the effect being that the club will continue to meet at the Colorado Springs Senior Center.

Joetta turned the floor over to Les Bailey who led a discussion on bylaws changes.  JUST FOR LAUGHS

Random Thoughts

Birds of a feather flock together and poop on your car.

The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight, because by then your body and your fat have gotten to be really good friends.

The easiest way to find something lost around the house is to buy a replacement.

He who hesitates is probably right.

Did you ever notice: The Roman Numerals for forty (40) are 'XL'.

The sole purpose for children's middle names is so they can tell when they're really in trouble.

There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to look for it. For example I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.

Did you ever notice: When you put the 2 words 'The' and 'IRS' together it spells 'Theirs'.

When you are dissatisfied and would like to go back to youth, think of Algebra.

One of the many things no one tells you about aging is that it is such a nice change from being young.

Ah, being young is beautiful, but being old is comfortable.

My Living Will

Last night, my kids and I were sitting in the living room and I said to them, "I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle.  If that ever happens, just pull the plug."

So, they got up, unplugged my computer, and threw out my wine!

Think About It

When you think about it, God has to be the greatest inventor of all times.  He took a rib from Adam and made a loudspeaker.

What's the Special Today?

A couple went to breakfast at a restaurant where the "seniors" special" was two eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast for $2.99.

"Sounds good," the wife said. "But I don't want the eggs."

"Then, I'll have to charge you three dollars and forty-nine cents because you're ordering a la carte," the waitress warned her.

"You mean I'd have to pay for not taking the eggs?" the woman asked incredulously.

"YES!!" stated the waitress.

"I'll take the special then," the woman said.

"How do you want your eggs?" the waitress asked.

"Raw and in the shell," the woman replied.  She took the two eggs home and baked a cake.

Father O'Malley

An Irish priest was transferred to Texas.

Father O'Malley rose from his bed one morning.  It was a fine spring day in his new Texas mission parish.  He walked to the window of his bedroom to get a deep breath of the beautiful day outside.  He then noticed there was a jackass lying dead in the middle of his front lawn.  He promptly called the local police station.

The conversation went like this: "Good morning.  This is Sergeant Jones.  How might I help you?"

"And the best of the day te yerself.  This is Father O'Malley at St. Ann's Catholic Church.  There's a jackass lying dead in me front lawn and would ye be so kind as to send a couple o'yer lads to take care of the matter?"

Sergeant Jones, who considered himself to be quite a wit, replied with a smirk, "Well now Father, it was always my impression that you people took care of the last rites!"

There was dead silence on the line for a long moment.  Father O'Malley then replied: "Aye, 'tis certainly true; but we are also obliged to notify the next of kin first, which is the reason for my call."

TRUE OR FALSE ANSWERS:

They are all TRUE.... Now go back and think about #16!!!
