This month saw a change in venue as we visited the Inn at Garden Plaza for our monthly meeting. |

Everything was set up and waiting for us as members started to gather. |

Les Bailey worked the sign-in table and sold tickets for the 50/50 Pot. Business was brisk as usual. |

|
The refreshments were supplied by the Inn, and a delicious array were waiting for us as we arrived. |
 |
|
As usual, visiting before the meeting is always a fun time to enjoy the company of friends. |

President Joetta Hoewisch selected an appropriate hat for giving the Treasurer's Report in the absence of Jack Sheets. For the benefit of our newer members, we will tell you that the tradition of the Treasurer wearing a different hat each month was started by our former Treasurer, Laura Mattison. |
 |
|
Local radio personality, Tron Simpson, was our guest speaker this month. He gave an interesting talk on the progression of his career, and the unique approach he and his station, KCMN (1530 AM), have taken regarding the music they air. It is truly not like other stations on the air today, featuring a wide array of music that we can all remember from our younger days. |

After the presentation, there are the drawings for the door prizes and the 50/50 Pot. |
 |
|
Nancy Craig was the winner of one of the door prizes, consisting of some Lottery scratch tickets. Claiming to be a complete novice in this area of gambling, she promptly received some OJT on how they worked, and won a whole dollar. |
 |
|
And then of course, it was time for refreshments! |

And lots more socializing. |
