2010 Agilent Colorado Springs Picnic
Saturday - July 31, 2010

Local retirees were invited to join Agilent employees at the 2010 company-sponsored picnic, and the retirees turned out in force. From all accounts, retirees outnumbered employees by about two to one.

It was a beautiful day and Agilent provided everything that could possibly be needed for a fun and entertaining event. The picnic was held on the patio at the Garden of the Gods site, and it was a fantastic opportunity to visit with many of our old friends in a setting that made us feel very much at home.

The following are some pictures taken at the event by Bob Miranda, a member of the HP/Agilent Alumni Club of Colorado Springs.

Early birds visit while waiting for the crowd to gather. Isn't this a beautiful setting for a picnic?

Where did all these gray-haired people come from?

Everyone appears to be very happy to be here.

And there was facepainting and caricatures too - not just for the "kids", but also for the "young at heart".

Also, balloons and music with a DJ. In short, fun for young and old.

And then, the lunch line formed. There was no need to hurry, because there was an abundance of really good food to choose from. Nobody went home hungry!

Relatively new to retirement and just getting used to his new routine was Dan Oldfield, shown with his wife, Susan. At the time the photo was taken, Susan's retirement was just a few days away.

It was a warm day, but the liquid refreshments never ran low.

Sometimes it's good to just take a moment to reflect.

Our thanks to Agilent's management for inviting us.
We had a great time!
